At Westgate Apartments – a premier multifamily community in Orlando, FL that we proudly own and operate is proud to lead the way in enhancing safety, visibility, and aesthetics through a major lighting infrastructure upgrade.
What We Did:
Installed dusk-to-dawn LED lighting throughout parking lots, common areas, walkways, porches, and laundry rooms—ensuring illumination levels consistently meet or exceed an average of 1.8cf.
Engaged lighting engineers to design, specify, and verify actual lighting performance at key points throughout the property.
Went beyond basic upgrades by improving lighting uniformity, eliminating dark spots, and trimming overgrown foliage that could cast shadows or block visibility.
Why It Matters:
Resident Security:Â Better lighting deters bad actors and boosts resident enjoyment of the community during later hours of the day.
Risk Mitigation:Â Enhanced lighting reduces the risk of trips and falls in low-light conditions.Â
Operational Savings:  Existing non-LED fixtures are costly and inefficient to operate. Newly installed fixtures are all 100% LED. Â
