Over the past several months, AGPM has taken a thoughtful and strategic look at the evolving needs of our organization in response to growing industry demands. The multifamily housing landscape has undergone significant transformation over the past decade—driven by shifting market conditions, increasingly complex layered financing, enhanced regulatory compliance, technological advancement, and changing workforce dynamics. These shifts have elevated the expectations and responsibilities of operational leadership, requiring greater strategic oversight, data-informed decision-making, and a renewed focus on team development. In this increasingly sophisticated environment, AGPM remains committed to staying ahead by investing in people, processes, and technology—ensuring that critical functions such as operational asset management, compliance, and portfolio analysis are central to our long-term success.

These newly established corporate roles reflect our commitment to strategic growth, operational excellence, and investing in the people who drive our mission forward. Meet the talented individuals stepping into these key positions below.

Kavisha McCranie

Senior Director | Accounting + Tax

Kavisha has been elevated to a new role as Senior Director of Accounting & Tax after a successful tenure as the Director of Tax, where she oversaw various and complex tax reporting functions with AGPM. In her new role, she will oversee the accounting close and year-end financial review processes, in addition to the tax functions from her previous role. Kavisha is an accomplished tax professional with over 13 years of experience in real estate taxation and strategic planning – with a wealth of expertise in multi-tiered partnership structures, tax credit opportunities, and cost segregation strategies. Kavisha earned her Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting, Finance, and Real Estate from Florida State University in 2010. She is a licensed Certified Public Accountant (CPA) in both FL and GA – and is also an active member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA) and the Florida Institute of CPAs (FICPA).

Tyara Thomas

Vice President | Property + Asset Mgt.

Tyara will be joining AGPM, LLC on July 14, 2025, as Vice President of Property & Asset Management. Tyara is a seasoned 20-year professional in the real estate industry – and held senior roles overseeing $2 billion in total redevelopment costs and the corresponding cross-functional teams on culturally significant landmark assets (both top-of-market luxury, and complex mixed-use/affordable developments) over the past decade. Tyara also has specialized expertise in affordable housing preservation (acquisition rehabilitations), which is a new and exciting endeavor for AGPM in collaboration with our affiliate company – Poplar Development Group (PDG). Tyara earned her Bachelor of Arts degree in Business Administration, as well as her MBA with a concentration in Strategic Leadership from Rutgers University in Camden, NJ. Additionally, Tyara earned and maintains an Accredited Resident Manager Certification (ARM), Certified Occupancy Specialist Certification (COS), Housing Credit Certified Professional (HCCP), Assisted Housing Manager Certification (AHM), Certified Association Manager (CAM), as well as several state-issued real estate broker licenses. Tyara will oversee our Georgia portfolio of owned assets, as well as core asset management functions across our Missouri and Colorado portfolios. Additionally, she will oversee all acquisition rehab/preservation efforts on behalf of AGPM – serving as an additional senior-level contact who partners with our affiliate PDG. Tyara will also collaborate closely with our Accounting, Finance, and Tax teams to enhance synergies, develop additional operational asset management protocols, and develop/execute new corporate strategies to optimize performance across the portfolio.

Mindy Bocardo

Director | Affordable Housing Compliance

Mindy has been elevated to a new role as Director of Affordable Housing Compliance – a position that was created to centralize, manage, and oversee critical regulatory compliance functions across the entire AGPM portfolio. Prior to this elevation, Mindy was a top-performing Area Manager primarily covering the Leesburg, FL region, as well as remaining heavily involved in operations across our Georgia portfolio. Additionally, Mindy was critically involved (unofficially) in supporting compliance functions across the entire AGPM portfolio. In her new role, Mindy will officially oversee all AOC filings, ECM modeling and submissions, all Tenant Event Reporting across the portfolio, all UA analyses and portal uploads, all syndicator/agency audit responses and uploads, all LURA requirements across the portfolio, and all state-sponsored agency portals. Mindy earned and maintains the coveted Housing Credit Certified Professional Certification (HCCP), as well as the Certified Occupancy Specialist Certification (COS).

As AGPM continues to grow in a rapidly evolving industry, we remain focused on building a strong, forward-thinking team. These new roles represent a strategic investment in the people, processes, and systems that drive our success. Additional leadership announcements are on the way—stay tuned as we continue to strengthen our organization from the inside out.
