At AGPM, we believe in creating not just homes, but stronger, safer communities. That’s why we were proud to partner with The Treehouse Foundation to bring life-saving training directly to residents at Notre Dame Apartments in Miami.
This special session, held in the community room, was open to residents ages 13 and up and provided hands-on education in emergency preparedness. Led by Firefighter Jose of Miami-Dade Fire Rescue, the training was part of the Health Emergency Life Protection (HELP) program—a countywide initiative championed by Mayor Daniella Levine Cava.
What Residents Learned
Over the course of two hours, participants gained practical skills that could one day save a life, including how to:
Recognize and respond to common emergencies
Perform hands-only CPRÂ on adults and children
Operate an AED (Automated External Defibrillator)
Identify early signs of a stroke
Stop severe bleeding
Assist with choking emergencies for infants, children, and adults
The combination of interactive lessons and hands-on practice left residents not only more knowledgeable, but also more confident and empowered to act in critical moments.
Certification & Community Impact
Every participant received a HELP Course Completion Certificate from Miami-Dade Fire Rescue, representing their readiness to step in when needed most.
We’re deeply grateful to The Treehouse Foundation for making this program possible, and to Firefighter Jose and the entire Miami-Dade Fire Rescue team for their dedication to public safety.
Our Commitment
At AGPM, partnerships like this are at the heart of our mission to provide more than housing—we provide opportunities, resources, and support systems that help residents thrive. Together with The Treehouse Foundation, we’re proud to foster education, empowerment, and community safety—one training at a time.
