The proposed Poplar Forest at Old Vineyard, the first phase of the Old Vineyard development, marks Poplar Development Group’s inaugural new construction project. This community will provide 60 affordable housing units designed to support families, featuring a range of amenities such as a community building with a management office, computer lab, fitness facility, meeting rooms, a playground, and a picnic shelter. The project is made possible through substantial financial backing, including $2 million loans from both the City of Winston-Salem and the North Carolina Housing Finance Agency. Additionally, the development benefits from a partnership with the principals of WeaverCooke Construction and will utilize the innovative semi-modular PASS® system to ensure efficient and high-quality construction.
