Banyan Hammocks is a 200 unit affordable residential development currently under construction with an estimated completion date of November 2023. Situated on 30 acres in the heart of Gainesville, FL just north of Newberry Road and University Avenue; Banyan Hammocks is an affordable multifamily residential development consisiting of seven separate three-stroy garden-style apartment structures containing one-bedroom, one-bath; two-bedroom, two bathrooms; and three-bedroom, two-bathroom apartments.

All of the units will maintain set-asides for residents earning 70% of Area Median Income (AMI) or less, with the average AMI of all units at 60% AMI or less.

Sustainability features include, but are not limited to PV Solar powering common electric demands, Water-Sense certified toilets in all bathrooms, energy efficient windows in all units, Florida Yards and Neighborhoods certification on all landscaping, daylight sensors and motion detectors on all outdoor lighting, low-flow figures in bathrooms, Energy Star rated appliances and tankless/instantaneous DHW systems, and air conditioning units with a minimum 16 SEER rating.
