Who We Are
We specialize in the acquisition of general partnership and investor limited partnership interests now totaling 53 partnerships and 9,130 affordable units. We also specialize in the acquisition of debt secured by distressed rental apartment communities. Our SEC registered investment advisor (Banyan Realty Advisors, LLC) represents public pension clients on real estate investments valued in excess of $250,000,000.
We intend on capitalizing on proven property management franchise through additional acquisitions of properties and portfolios as well as securing selective fee management opportunities. We will enable complete recapitalization of operating entities to secure long-term value growth and stable returns. We will continue to broaden investment criteria to include acquisition of debt on distressed assets including unsold condominium inventory with association management and source additional capital to fund continued growth and expansion.
2004 – Merged Zimmerman owned management company PMCFI with Reliance Management Services to form Banyan Realty Management (“Banyan”) with combined units under third party management of 15,000 units throughout eastern US.
2005 – Admitted London investment partner Mountstreet Holdings affiliate to expand operations. Banyan grew to over 25,000 units and assisted London with acquisition of other US property management companies; ie Trammell Crow Residential Services, Omni Management, Stratus, to become Riverstone Residential; the country’s second largest apartment manager.
2007 – Closed first GP portfolio acquisition of 3,700 units followed by three additional portfolios bringing total to approximately 7,000 units.
2008 – Sold management company interest in CAS-Riverstone and formed AGPM to self manage owned portfolio.
2014 – Currently own & operate 9,130 affordable apartment communities in 53 separate partnerships.
